Everyone who has ever chatted with me about computers already knows I’m totally in love with the Opera browser. I’ve already talked about it, blogged about it, spread the world and whatnot; and I dont think any of this will change in the future.
One of the things that DO bother me about Opera Mail is the fact that I can not (or at least, have not found a safe way yet) to create new labels. The next best solution was to rename the ones that are already there. Unfortunately, that too was not as easy as “click, rename, end of story”.
In order to rename the available labels, you need to:
0. Shut down Opera before editing its core files.
1. Navigate to “x:\program files folder\Opera\locale\en\”.
2. Edit the file “en.lng”.
3. Search for “340864561” or “Call Back”.
4. Rename any of the labels you wish.
5. Save and close the file and then restart Opera. You will see the new labels on the left hand side Opera Mail column.
Notes:
i. “x” denotes your Operating System hard drive. It’s usually the letter “c”.
ii. in case you’re using a 64bit version of windows, your “program files folder” will be “Program Files(x86)”. Otherwise, just navigate to “c:\Program Files\Opera\locale\en\”.
iii. 340864561 is the numeric represantation of the “Important” label. You can search for “Important” instead but you may end up in the wrong spot. Using “Call back” instead is safer as it only appears once in the file.
iv. Do not include the quotation marks. Only what’s inside of them.

Σε περίπτωση που θέλουμε να μετονομάσουμε τις Ετικέτες στην Opera (καθώς δε μας δίνει τη δυνατότητα να δημιουργήσουμε νέες με κάποιον ασφαλή τρόπο) πρέπει να κάνουμε τα παρακάτω:
0. Κλείνουμε την Opera πριν επεξεργαστούμε τα αρχεία της.
1. Πηγαίνουμε στο φάκελο “x:\program files folder\Opera\locale\en\”.
2. Επεξεργαζόμαστε το αρχείο “en.lng”.
3. Ψάχνουμε είτε για “340864561”, είτε για”Call Back”.
4. Μετονομάζουμε τις Ετικέτες που επιθυμούμε.
5. Σώζουμε το αρχείο και το κλείνουμε. Ξεκινάμε πάλι την Opera και παρατηρούμε πως οι νέες ετικέτες είναι διαθέσιμες στην αριστερή κολώνα του Opera Mail.
Επισημάνσεις:
i. Το “x” χρησιμοποιείται στη θέση του γράμματος του δίσκου όπου είναι εγκατεστημένο το λειτουργικό σύστημα. Συνήθως είναι το γράμμα “c”.
ii. Σε περίπτωση που χρησιμοποιούμε τα 64bit Windows, ο φάκελος “program files folder” είναι ο “Program Files(x86)”. Σε άλλη περίπτωση, απλά πηγαίνουμε στο φάκελο “c:\Program Files\Opera\locale\en\”.
iii. Το νούμερο “340864561” είναι η αριθμητική απεικόνιση της ετικέτας “Important” (αν χρησιμοποιούμε την Ελληνική έκδοση της Opera μάλλον θα λέει “Σημαντικό”). Μπορούμε να ψάξουμε το αρχείο για “Important” αλλά μπορεί να καταλήξουμε σε λάθος θέση. Υπάρχει μόνο μία αναφορά στο “Call back” οπότε είναι περισσότερο ασφαλές να χρησιμοποιήσουμε αυτήν την ετικέτα όταν ψάχνουμε.
iv. Μην περιλαμβάνετε τα εισαγωγικά που χρησιμοποιώ. Μόνο ό,τι βρίσκεται εντός αυτών.
